The Problem

The Problem

A common problem with task dashboard websites and apps is difficulty in prioritizing and managing tasks effectively. Many users struggle to differentiate between important and urgent tasks, leading to overwhelm and missed deadlines. Other issues include lack of personalization, ineffective task, lack of motivation and poor handling of recurring tasks.

The Solution

The Solution

Implemented features that tracks delayed tasks, provide reminders, also allowing users to assign tasks on their team which creates a sense of responsibility.

Help users prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, and provide tools to help them track their time effectively.

Implemented a calendar to prioritize their time and tasks depending on their schedules. Motivation toggles when users completes a task by a certain percentage and also congratulation toggles when they completed a task successfully.

User Research

User Research

The aim of conducting user research for ToDoza was to understand how users manage their daily tasks and to identify the common challenges they face with existing to-do list apps. It also helped analyze the features and services offered by competitors, and uncover opportunities to introduce new, meaningful features that improve the overall task management experience.

he next step for ToDoza is to finalize the prototype based on user feedback, ensuring all key features function smoothly. Once optimized, develop the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with a solid tech stack and database setup. Conduct beta testing with a small user group to refine the app before launch. Prepare a marketing strategy, including an app store listing, landing page, and social media outreach. Finally, launch the app, track user engagement, and iterate based on real-world feedback to drive growth and retention.

Lessons learned!

Lessons learned!

Working on ToDoza also helped me understand how designing with actual user needs and requirements, instead of assumptions, was crucial. During user research, I learned to what extent individuals struggle not only with organizing tasks, but with staying motivated, prioritizing efficiently, and keeping their dashboards clean and maintainable. I realized that functionality and simplicity always go hand in hand—users like to have fewer features that are executed exceptionally well instead of many that increase complexity.

Prototyping and testing confirmed for me that even minute design decisions, such as button location or color order, can have major effects on usability. I also discovered the importance of iterative feedback—early prototypes of ToDoza did not have proper task prioritization and recurring task functionality, which became apparent only after seeing how users used the design.

This project made me realize how much I understood task behavior patterns and reaffirmed the necessity of balancing beauty with a functional, seamless user experience. Above all, I learned that the greatest productivity tools don't only assist people with time management—they allow them to feel like they're in command of their day.
